Numerous fire crews rushed to put out flames at a horse barn in rural Fayette county Thursday night.

The owner of the barn off Greenwich Pike raced to get dozens of horses and donkeys safely out of the building.

He says a generator inside the metal building may have sparked the fire, which then spread to hay. Because the barn is on a rural road, it took nearly a dozen fire crews to shuttle water to the scene. None of the animals were hurt.
