Kentuckians Remember Life And Work Of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Cities all across Kentucky commemorated the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior Monday with programs, marches, and other events.

Events started late Sunday night on the UK campus. Participants marched to the student center and gathered for musical performances and presentations to remember the life of Dr. King at midnight. A breakfast then followed.

In Lexington, many attended the annual Unity Breakfast at Heritage Hall.

That was followed by a march that started and ended at Heritage Hall, and a commemorative program, set to the theme of "Somebody's Calling My Name."

Richmond also held a march and service to honor King.
