Our focus now turns to the potential of record lows tonight. Many areas may wake up to thermometer readings below zero.
A Lexington man faces serious charges after police say he posed as a doctor.
Ashish Vyas was arrested in December for unlawfully prescribing a controlled substance. A grand jury indicted him this week.
Police say Vyas told people he was a doctor and actually wrote medical presciptions without a valid medical license to several Lexington area pharmacies.
The indictment also says Vyas phoned in the prescriptions for numerous people using his fathers medical license.
We've since learned he was a teacher with the Bluegrass Community and Technical College, prompting many students to wonder if they would receive credit for the classes they took under his instruction.
On Thursday, Bluegrass Community and Technical College released a statement to reassure it's students the credits they earned from Vyas will be honored.
