A major winter storm is on the way to the bluegrass state. Local high water issues are possible early Wednesday and that will be followed up by heavy snow and sleet. Significant accumulations are likely Wednesday night and Thursday.
DANVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Centre College has appointed its first new board chairman in more than two decades.
Robert T. Brockman, an alumnus of the school, replaces David Grissom as chairman of Centre College's Board of Trustees. Brockman is chairman and CEO of The Reynolds and Reynolds Co. of Houston, and was the founder of Universal Computer Systems Inc. Brockman is also a trustee at Rice University. Grissom has been a trustee at Centre for 32 years.
Meanwhile, the private liberal arts is also wrapping up its five-year fundraising drive that brought in $169.4 million. That's more than $49 million beyond its goal.
