Police are investigating a murder in Metcalfe County.

Dispatchers tell 27 NEWSFIRST a person was shot at a home on Mell Road, near the Green County line.

The victim was taken to a near-by hospital but died.

Kentucky State Police are handling the case.

An autopsy on the victim was scheduled for Wednesday morning.

An arrest has not been made in the case.
