Power Outage Forces People From Apartment Complex

Kentucky Utilities workers have fixed a pole that caused widespread damage at a Lexington apartment complex.

During Tuesday night's storms, a power pole with three transformers on it snapped on Hallow Creek Road.

The outage forced 125 people to evacuated from a near-by apartment complex. The Red Cross provided shelter for the displaced people.

Since wires were pulled from the building at the Paddock Apartments, the owner must have a licensed electrician repair the masthead. The city will then inspect the work, and if tagged with an OK, KU will turn power back on.
