A young man jumped to action when he realized his home was being burglarized while he was at home alone.
A 13-year-old says he saw two men arrive at the home on Newtown Pike and start knocking on the door, where he was by himself. The teen says he called his father but when he heard a back window break he called the police.
The father says he arrived as the two men were leaving, holding his television. The father says he then shut his gate and pulled in front of them. That's when he says they tried to drive through the fence. He says when they couldn't, the two men jumped the fence behind his house and that's where police caught them.
Neighbors say they saw police swarm and couldn't believe what happened. "It's the middle of the day, we're here in the country you don't expect that to happen," said one neighbor.
Police haven't released the names of the men they took into custody. They are still on scene gathering evidence, and they recovered all of the items removed from the home including a TV, some coins and jewelry.
The boy says he had a golf club in hand just in case the burglars came into the bedroom where he was hiding.
