HIGHSPLINT, Ky. (AP) - A judge has revoked bond for a one-time sheriff's deputy in eastern Kentucky who is now charged with murder.
Harlan Circuit Judge Russell Alred on Saturday revoked the $25,000 bond for Scott Moore after he was arrested over the weekend and charged with fourth-degree assault.
Alred ordered Moore arrested after police responded to the former deputy's house for a domestic disturbance where gunshots were fired, police said.
Moore was arraigned and pleaded not guilty on Oct. 24 on a charge of wanton murder for the death of Leslie Cox. Police say Moore shot Cox while trying to break up a crowd. His trial is set for May 19.
