Train Jumps The Tracks, Spills Load

Crews spent much of the day on Tuesday cleaning up a mess in Bell County.

A train derailed in the Meldrum community on Monday night.

Officials tell us a CSX train carrying coal from Middlesboro to Corbin derailed. Five cars went off the tracks, dumping their coal loads.

CSX is in the process of cleaning the coal up and fixing the tracks.

The accident appears to be caused by a problem in the tracks.
