Elementary school students in Bell County raised more than seven hundred dollars to help replace the K-9 that was killed, along with his deputy, last month.
Middlesboro Primary School students raised the money during the past few weeks.
While many of them didn't know Bell County deputy Sean Pursifull or his police dog "King" personally, they say they just wanted to help out.
The money will go to an overall fund, set up for a new Bell County K-9. More than ten thousand dollars has already been raised out of the 25 thousand dollars needed.
