General showers will be the main action over the next few hours. A few could remain on the strong to severe side in eastern parts of Kentucky.
Some Lexington families have no place to live Tuesday night after an apartment fire forces them from their homes.
The flames started just before noon on Village drive, just off of Versailles Road. The fire started in Jane Alvarado's apartment while maintenance workers were trying to fix a problem in the home.
Now investigators say Alvarado's family along with five others will not be able to get back in their homes Tuesday night. Fire investigators say most of the damage is smoke damage but they stayed on scene into late Tuesday night, making sure the structure was sound before letting anyone back in.
The American Red Cross is helping the victims of the Village Square Apartment Fire.
