The cold front is now working into eastern Kentucky with winds gusting to near 40mph at times. Temps have dropped into the 30s behind the front and we've had reports of sleet and snow mixing with the rain in Lexington.
Morehead was one of the state's hardest hit areas during Monday night's winter snow storm.
The temperature stayed below freezing in Morehead most of Tuesday and that made for a rough commute for drivers.
City police told 27NEWSFIRST they only worked two accidents Tuesday, both were non-injury. But out in the county where speeds tend to be greater, Kentucky State Police say they stayed very busy.
By mid-afternoon, only a very light rain was falling in Morehead.
