Police Work Dozens Of Accidents On Slick Roads

The latest blast of wintry weather led to some dangerous conditions on Kentucky interstates early Wednesday morning.

At one point, I-75 in Scott County was shut down in both directions because there were so many accidents.

Around 1:00 a.m., a tractor trailer jackknifed in the southbound lanes near the 134 mile marker.

The driver of that tractor trailer was not injured. However, a passing driver injured his back when he fell over an embankment while trying to get help.

An SUV slammed into a wall near the 126 mile marker, also bringing traffic to a stop.

In Fayette County, there were numerous accidents near the 110 mile marker, that's the Winchester Road exit. Several vehicles slid off the slick roadway and an FedEx truck also jack-knifed in that area,

The interstates weren't the only roads that gave drivers problems. Around Lexington, police worked more than a dozen accidents during the commute on Wednesday morning.
