Coroner Identifies Man Killed In New Circle Road Crash

The coroner has identified a man who died in a crash on New Circle Road Thursday night.

The coroner says 54-year-old Dwayne Terry died of multiple blunt force trauma.

The crash happened around 9:00 p.m. Thursday on New Circle near Leestown Rd. The inner loop of New Circle was closed for hours.

Police say Terry was driving on the outer loop when he lost control, crossed the median and slammed into a car and semi on the inner loop. Several other cars collided trying to avoid the crash

Two people inside the other car went to UK Hospital with serious injuries.

Police believe speed played a role in the accident.

Terry's ex-wife contacted 27 NEWSFIRST and says Terry was most likely heading home from the Fayette County Detention Center where their son is behind bars.
