Rounds of showers and thunderstorms could cause issues across the region Saturday. Damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes will be possible.
A Lexington man accused of kidnapping and sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy was back in court Monday morning.
Police say Jerry Wayne Humphries, 54, grabbed the victim as the teen walked along a Lexington street.
At a preliminary hearing in Fayette District Court, Humphries didn't say a word. His lawyer waived the case on to go before a grand jury.
Police say Humphries forced the teen inside his car, took him to an apartment off Tates Creek Road and sexually abused him.
The victim was able to pick Humphries out of a line-up, police say.
In court last week, Humphries pleaded not guilty to those charges.
At that time, a judge refused to lower his bond which was set at $47,500 cash.
Fayette County Detention Center workers say Humphries posted bond and was released from jail on February 21.
