An investigation is underway after a deadly crash on Interstate 64 in Scott County Thursday night.

The crash happened just before 6 p.m., just west of the Georgetown exit (Payne's Depot Road).

The Scott County coroner says one person, who was driving a motorcycle, crashed, and died at the scene.

Officials have identified that person as Christopher Rose, 53. He was from Illinois.

Andrew Scholl, 51, was on another motorcycle that crashed. He was taken to UK hospital, where he's in fair condition. Scholl is from Illinois as well.

Westbound I-64 was closed after the crash, but officials tell us it reopened around 8 p.m.
