A mother and her young child had to be taken to the hospital, after being hit by a car outside a Walmart.
It happened around 7 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of the Walmart on Man o' War and Nicholasville Road.
Lexington Police say the sun was in the driver's eyes, which caused the accident.
Police say the mother was taken to UK Hospital with a broken leg. Police say the child had a scratch, and also went to the hospital as a precaution.
Police say the driver will not be charged.
