Firefighters prevented a house fire from doing much damage early Friday morning.
It broke out at a duplex on Cardinal Drive in Lancaster around 4:30 a.m.
Firefighters say most of the damage was contained to the kitchen.
EMS workers say one person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
The person didn't have to go to the hospital.
Everyone else inside the home was able to escape the fire.
