RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - Some strong storms created problems tonight for people in Madison County.

A slow-moving storm dumped lots of heavy rain on Richmond, and that flooded many streets around the city.

At one point, high water covered much of the Eastern Bypass, but some people decided to drive through it anyway.

Madison County Emergency Management even reported a water rescue near downtown Richmond, in an area that typically floods.

Dispatchers told us parts of Highway 25 and Irvine Road were also flooded Friday night.

However, we're told all of the high water has receded.
