It's was a dangerous start to the day on Tuesday in Lexington after ice made for some tricky driving.
A car crashed on an icy Leestown Road. The driver of the BMW says he was trying to avoid a rough patch in the road when he hit black ice and lost control of his car.
The car ended up on its side, wedged against a fence. The driver was not hurt.
He says he didn't know the road was icy and was upset that the road was not salted until after he crashed.
The driver says he had only had the car for two weeks and didn't have any collision insurance.
The wreck was quickly cleaned up and the road is now back open.
Temperatures are expected to rise Tuesday afternoon, so problems with ice should be resolved.
