ADAIR COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A southern Kentucky woman is accused of hiring a hit man to kill her estranged husband.
The arrest of Ashley Dykes Dobson came more than a year after her estranged husband, Brandon Dykes, was injured during a bizarre car crash.
Police say Dykes was forced off the road, then stabbed in the neck and thigh by Matthew Swanson.
That incident happened in July 2011 on Crocus Road in Adair County. Dykes survived his injuries.
At the time, police arrested Swanson, and charged him with attempted murder.
Now, more than a year later, police arrested Dobson, because they say she solicited Swanson to kill Dykes.
Both Dobson and Swanson are in the Adair County Jail.
