Mother and baby critically injured in crash

BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Firefighters say a mother and her baby have been airlifted to the hospital after a bad crash.

The Boyle County Fire Department says around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, a car rolled over an embankment on Highway 34 near Danville.

Firefighters say the baby was thrown from the car and her mother was pinned under a tree.

Both were flown to UK Hospital with what we're told are critical injuries.

The road was closed after the crash, but firefighters say it has since reopened.

Investigators have not released the names of the mother or her baby.

There's also no word on what caused the crash.
