Patrons Brave Weather For St. Patrick's Parade

It wasn't the best day, weather-wise, for a parade, but there was still a pretty good turnout in Downtown Lexington.

People lined the streets for the St. Patrick's Day parade.
It was a little chilly and even raining at times, but some say the weather wasn't going to keep them from the festivities.

"This is my favorite holiday. It doesn't involve get togethers or handing out presents. Just dancing and enjoying Irish music," said one parade participant.

The city also held a 5K Shamrock Shuffle run Saturday morning, and an evening of Celtic music and dance.
