Kentucky State Police Trooper Chris Chenault says the driver, Andrea Spivey, lost control, went through two trees, went airborne, then flipped before ending on its roof in a creek. The crash happened around 4 Sunday morning, along U.S. 25 near Berea. But it wasn't until 8:30 a.m. when someone saw the wreckage and called police.
Chenault says the jaws of life were used to remove Spivey from her car, which had some water in it but not enough to drown her.
Spivey is said to be recovering at UK Hospital and is listed in good condition.
