The search is over for an inmate from the Fayette County Detention Center, who officials say was released in error.

21-year-old Antoine Gregory Hill was arrested Monday afternoon, and is now back at the detention center.

Police say he was originally arrested by the bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms on federal charges of possession, with intent to distribute.

Police say he used another inmate's personal information to trick a jail official into releasing him Sunday.

when they get booked in there pic is on file and when they are released they have to sign papers plus they automatically get an inmate # when booked in, but when he got released and they had to get info off the records on computer didn't they realized his pic didn't match the one that was in the system, sounds to me like someone in the the detention center was very very careless

And we are suppose to trust the courts to only release non-violent offenders into society. They can't even manage keeping the violent ones in prison!

02 in less than a month!!!??? Fayette County Jail definately needs to look at their procedures or something. Also the Feds need to quit holding their prisoners there. This is 100% totally uncalled for...PERIOD!

Posted by: Ray on Mar 24, 2008 at 02:04 AM
This is the 3rd time in a period of a month the jail has let out a prisoner by "mistake". What does it take to keep the prisoners inside does the FBI need to come in again and run the jail. Or maybe its just the jail finds it to hard to keep track of the Federal Prisoners. That would be a great location for a Detention Center, anybody know of a good one.

Come on folks we've heard that song before. Play a little sumpin sumpin we ain't heard like keep the keepers. The feds need to find that bong, I know some body is smokin a little sumpin sumpin.
