Former President Clinton Makes Campaign Stops In KY

Campaign 2008 goes through the Bluegrass Tuesday with a visit from former President Bill Clinton.

He is campaigning for his wife, Hillary. Clinton made four stops while in Kentucky.

It all started Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Frankfort Convention Center on Mero Street. Thousands of people showed up to watch the former President speak in support of his wife.

After the Frankfort stop, Clinton headed to a 12:15 appearance at the American Legion building at the Bourbon County Fairgrounds.

Clinton is scheduled to visit Mason County High School at 2:30, then Morehead at 5:45.

The secret service has spent the last several days making sure the events will be secure.

In Morehead, the former president spoke at the Conference Center.

Organizers checked out the facility Monday to make sure it was safe.

All events were free and open to the public.

Kentucky's primary is set for May 20.
