LEXINGTON, Ky. (Mar. 26, 2008) − University of Kentucky Police have arrested a man in Lexington in the recent robbery and kidnapping of a Bluegrass Community and Technical College student that happened Monday, March 24, 2008 at the Greg Page Apartments.

UK Police received a report that two male subjects entered the apartment armed with a knife and miniature baseball bat. The suspects took cash and laptop computers and then forced the victim to drive them to a local bank and withdraw additional money.

Charles Earl Mason Jr., 21, originally of Radcliff, Ky., and currently a Lexington resident, was arrested and charged with first degree robbery and kidnapping. He was arrested by UK Police officers at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday at the University of Kentucky Police Department and was taken to the Fayette County Detention Center.

UK Police are currently seeking a second suspect in the case, Roderick Andre Reese, 20, originally from Radcliff, Ky. Officers have obtained a warrant for the arrest of Reese and charged him with first degree robbery and kidnapping.

UK Police have reason to believe that Reese may have fled the Lexington area. Police are requesting the assistance of anyone who knows the whereabouts of Roderick Andre Reese to contact the UK Police at (859) 257-1616 or their local law enforcement agency.
