A big shock on Wednesday for the lunchtime crowd at a Mercer County restaurant.

The owner of the Lee's Famous Recipe in Harrodsburg says an elderly man accidentally put his car into drive instead of reverse and drove about twelve feet into the restaurant.

The startled driver then put his van in reverse, backing up across the street, into a car before hitting a guard wire and flipping the van over.

Jackie Clayscomb, owner of Lee's, says their restaurant manager suffered two broken toes when a pop machine fell on him. The driver of the van suffered minor injuries.

The restaurant is closed until the health department inspects the building, Thursday morning.
