Police are searching for two men wanted in a home invasion in Garrard County.

Two, masked men forced their way into the home of an 89-year-old man and his wife Wednesday night on Hubert Grubbs Road in the Buckeye Community.

Police say the men were armed and stole cash, guns and jewelry from the home.

The men also stole the victim's car, which was later found parked down the road.

Police searched the car for evidence, but have not located the suspects.

The couple who lives in the home wasn't hurt.

Nobody has mentioned, if grandma would have had her .357 in her chair, and would have dropped these pieces of trash the SECOND they came in.... she would have made the world a better place. :) Gun Control is using both hands.

I'm glad the couple is safe! These punks have NO RESPECT for anyone that's obivious! This generation know nothing about respect! They are not taught respect at home. They're allowed to back talk their parents, teachers, & other adults! Who's fault is all this? It starts with the parents. Parents should not be afraid of their own children. You are NOT their FRIEND, YOU ARE THEIR PARENT! These two punks are also too lazy to work for what they want, they think the world owes them something! It does: a swift kick in the seat of their pants! Find them. Make them WORK to repay every dime they took. Stop giving them EVERYTHING they want, make them EARN their way like the rest of us! I'll bet that drugs are the motivation behind their crimes! Get them off drugs by locking them in a cell away from everyone else for about 1 yr, then they won't have a drug problem anymore! But wait, our governor doesn't want druggies locked up. So I guess they won't be punished at all for their crimes!

It saddens me to see this happening more and more to our elderly. The truly sad thing is the motivation of the people doing it, they are looking for pills first, then easy to sale items second. I am thankful these people were not harmed in anyway, and will keep them in my prayers. I hope the guilty parties are caught and punished soon, but how many more times does this have to happen before something is done to prevent it?

I know Mr. Grubbs. He is a kind and God fearing Christian man. He would give you the shirt off his back. The robbers had to know what he had etc...such as guns , money..All they have to do is ask Mr Grubbs and he woukld have tried to help them out by giving them food etc. No need to break in. Hope Garrard Co people punish them if they are caught. and not turn them loose by slapping them on their hands.

I am sorry to hear about this but thank God they were not hurt or killed. Hopefully they will soon be found and punished. It's to bad we cna't live in our homes and feel safe.

Seems like these scum bags mostly target elderly people. How low can you get? These thiefs need the lead put to their hide so maybe they would stop this nonsense.

I'm thankful the homeowners weren't hurt. The criminals would have to know the area and that being the case, I have absolute faith they will be found soon!! I hope the Court throws the book (and whatever else might be at hand) at the brazen and disrespectful heatherns.

This is happening way to often. These elderly people are to be respected. If there was one thing I was taught growing up it was to respect your elders.I hope they catch these cowardly low life SOB's.

It would be helpful to know what kind of car they were driving and the license number. Thanks.
