Flash Flood Watch is in effect through Wednesday evening for all. Rounds of storms increase today and carry us through the night. Heavy rains will be likely and that may cause additional flooding problems.
NCAA tournament action picks back up Thursday night and the state of Kentucky is well represented in the Sweet 16.
The University of Louisville and Western Kentucky University will both play for a chance to move on to the Elite Eight.
In Charlotte in the east regional, Rick Pitino takes his Cards up against the Tennessee Vols.
U of L smashed its first two opponents in the tournament, Boise State and Oklahoma. Tennessee struggled against American and Butler in the first two rounds.
Tennessee has been inconsistent offensively in March. That has to be a big concern, going up against Louisville's defense, which has been stingy in two tournament games.
In the west regional in Phoenix, Western Kentucky is matched up with UCLA.
Darrin Horn's Hilltoppers have been on fire in the tournament. They've hit 20 of 44 threes and they've got a bunch of players who can shoot the three ball. Western will want to get up and down the floor and shoot the three.
UCLA had to rally against Texas A&M to advance. The Bruins are solid defensively. They'll want a slower pace, but they'll be looking to score a lot more points than the 51 they put up against A&M.
Tonight on WKYT, you'll see West Virginia play Xavier, followed by Louisville and Tennessee. The late game scheduled to start at about ten, maybe a little before.
On CWKYT, Washington State and North Carolina play in the first game. The late game from Phoenix will be Western Kentucky and UCLA. Tipoff should be at around 9:40 EST.
