Electronics Accepted for Recycling in Lexington

By  |

Many are getting a jump on spring cleaning by getting rid of old electronics, such as computers, televisions, and old cell phones.

Dir. of Division of Waste Management, Steve Feese, says, "There's a lot of e-waste out there that we want to make sure is handled in an environmentally friendly manner."

Throwing these items away and not recycling can lead to contamination of groundwater because they do contain toxic elements.

Employees from the Division of Waste Management will be accepting all electronics for recycling. The event is for residential e-waste only.

Bring your items to 1306 Versailles Road between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:30 pm through Saturday, April 5th.
