LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police have arrested a man they say is responsible for nine robberies and thefts over the last month.

Lexington Police arrested 21-year-old Aaron Jackson Thursday.

Investigators say he robbed two Shell stations, a Red Roof Inn, and a Days Inn, among other businesses, on the city's north side.

WKYT has been tracking the crimes since August 27.

We were there as police arrested Jackson Thursday afternoon on New Circle Road, just minutes before, police say he had escaped from their custody nearby.

Along with the robbery charges, he's also facing an escape charge.

In an additional court document we obtained, Jackson is linked to a theft that occured at the Walmart on Nicholasville Road in late July.
