Plans Set For Keightley Funeral Services
There will be several chances for people to pay tribute to Mr. Wildcat, later this week.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The following are details for the public viewing and memorial service for “Mr. Wildcat,” Bill Keightley:

* Public Viewing, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, April 3, Rupp Arena Lobby, High Street entrance. The public is welcome to attend a public viewing of the casket during these hours. The line will close at 3 p.m. to allow for set up of the memorial service that begins at 6 p.m. in Rupp Arena.

* There will be an area set up near the viewing to leave flowers and mementos.

* Public Memorial Service, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 3, Rupp Arena. Seating on the floor will be available for Keightley’s family, former Kentucky men’s basketball players, coaches, managers, university and elected officials. These dignitaries should park in the Cox Street lot and enter through the media entrance. Rupp Arena will be available for general public seating, beginning at 5 p.m. Parking in the High St. lot will be free to the public.

* A private reception will be held immediately after the service for family, former players, coaches and managers at the Lexington Center in the Heritage Ballrooms, Rooms 1 to 3.

* On Friday, April 5, a private memorial service will be held at the Lexington Center, Heritage Ballrooms.

* The Keightley family requests memorial donations be made to The Bill Keightley “Mr. Wildcat” Basketball Managers Scholarship Fund, UK Office of Development, 100 Sturgill Development Buildings, Lexington, KY 40506-0015.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of "Mr.Wildcat" I have attended many games in my lifetime. Uk Basketball being my favorite. There was never a time that I did not look for Mr.Wildcat. His personality, charm, respect, love, and faithfullness made him one of a kind. I will never forget this man. What a pleasure it must have been to have him in your life. He is definately going to be missed. May God Bless and Keep you strong during this time. WOW can you imagine what heaven must be like now, with Mr.Wildcat there. I bet blue and white streamers are falling EVERYWHERE. God Bless your Mr. Wildcat!

While attending UK basketball games since Rupp was bulit, Bill Keightley has been at his post. I think the US Marine motto "Semper Fe", always faithful, applied to his love for the UK Wildcats.
