GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) - Teenagers, and their parents, will be able to get a tune up on their driving skills this weekend.
Toyota will offer a free defensive driving program at the Toyota plant in Georgetown.
The program, called Toyota Driving Expectations, will put newly permitted and licensed teens, and their parents, on multiple driving courses. The program will also include classroom instruction.
The program will be held Saturday and Sunday. Toyota officials say registration is open to the public, but space is limited. The program lasts around two and a half hours.
According to Toyota, the event will take place in the front parking of the Toyota plant off Cherry Blossom Way. Enter at Gate 2 and look for the signs. Classroom activity will take place in the Visitor Center. This event is offered free of charge, but a major credit card is required to reserve your class. A $25.00 cancellation fee may be charged to your credit card in the event of a no-show. To be sure to avoid such cancellation fees, you must cancel your reservation at least 48 hours (2 days) prior to your class.
