The Red Cross Helps Flood Victims

By  |

The Red Cross opened the Bland Building at Legion Park, as shelter for those forced to evacuate from their flooded homes.

Director or Marketing, Dwayne Edwards, says volunteers will be on hand to help serve meals, pass out carekits and most importantly set up beds for displaced residents.

Edwards says the building can only house fifty people but they will accommodate more if they need to.

Anyone seeking shelter or interested in making donations, is asked to call the local Red Cross chapter, at 859-253-1331.
