Child hit by school bus in Jefferson County

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A Jefferson County school spokesman says a student has been taken to a hospital after being hit by a school bus.

Spokesman Ben Jackey says the incident happened after school Tuesday in the southwestern part of the county and that the bus involved was carrying four students, none of whom was injured.

Jackey says witnesses reported that a couple of students who were walking ran out in front of the bus into the street and one was hit.

He says first responders reported the child's injuries didn't appear to be life-threatening.
