A Boyle County woman was given a 12 year prison sentence Tuesday for robbing a convenience store and biting the clerk.
Victoria Spoonamore shouted she had AIDS when she bit the store clerk at Chill's Quick Stop last summer.
On Tuesday, a judge sentenced her to 12 years in prison. Ten years of that is for robbery, the other two years is for wanton endangerment.
Both sentences will run concurrently. Spoonamore will get credit for time already served.
She was all smiles in court Tuesday as she was sentenced. That's in contrast to her last court appearance, when she plead guilty. She was in tears then.
Spoonamore is HIV positive. The clerk she bit has tested negative.
