A 9-year old Georgetown boy is being credited with saving his father's life.
When Jeff Hiler wasn't responding to his son Tuesday morning, Sean jumped into action.
He tested his dad's blood sugar and when it came back very low, he called 9-1-1.
Sean told the dispatcher his father was a diabetic and his blood sugar was very low and he wouldn't eat anything to make it go up.
The dispatcher directed Sean to sit by his father and make sure he was breathing. Then, Sean began talking to his father, who soon realized what was going on.
After a few minutes on the phone, paramedics arrived at the Hiler home and treated Jeff.
Shelly and Jeff say they taught Sean how to care for his father if he went into diabetic shock when he was 7 years old just in case it ever happened.
Jeff says his son certainly took care him and probably saved his life.
