Heavy snow is taking its time moving through the state of Kentucky. This will be a historic once its all said and done with a few spots around a foot of snow.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Democrat Greg Fischer plans to begin airing his first television ad in his Senate campaign on Saturday urging Kentucky voters to "get our country back."
Fischer, a Louisville businessman, is seeking his party's nomination to run against incumbent Republican Mitch McConnell of Louisville.
The ad highlights Fischer's business success.
"I strongly believe that people are looking for somebody who's not part of the system, because the system is broken," Fischer said in the ad. "I think people need to say 'we've had enough of this and we need to get our country back."'
The ad was filmed at Fischer companies - Dant Clayton Corp. and MedVenture Technologies - and begins airing less than a week after he began a statewide campaign tour that will continue through the next two weeks.
Campaign spokeswoman Nicole Candler declined to say how much the campaign is spending on the ad that's running in all Kentucky media markets.
