LYNCH, Ky. (AP) - The mayor of a small eastern Kentucky town dropped plans to resign two weeks after saying he would walk away from the job.
Lynch Mayor Bob Collier attributed the change of heart to a desire to serve the voters that elected him 15 months ago.
Collier told the city council on March 28 that he planned to quit. Collier said at the time that a lack of cooperation between the mayor's office and council and a lack of city funds drove the decision.
City officials said Collier would return to work on Monday.
