Some areas have picked up better than a foot of snow. We still have several more inches possible through the afternoon.
Family and friends of 18-year old Connie Blount attended a memorial for her Monday night at the UK Baptist Student Center. Blount was hit and killed early Sunday morning while walking home. Police say the driver of the truck that hit her then drove off.
Blount's father, Jack, tearfully thanked those that came to the memorial. "My wife and I can't thank you enough for coming, seeing you here certainly makes it a little easier on us," he said.
After a 10- minute slideshow of pictures of Connie, two of her friends on the UK Equestrian team shared stories. Most that were in attendance held on to each other, while wiping tears from their eyes.
Blount's love for horses brought her to Lexington and UK. She was a freshman and had lived here just seven months. The 18-year old will be buried in Park City, Utah where her parents live.
