LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Laurel County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man and charged him with armed robberies at two businesses.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says his office arrested 34-year-old Jason Wagers, of London, Friday night at a home on Heartmine Road.

Deputies say when they arrested Wagers, he was hiding in a utility room inside the home.

Investigators say Wagers robbed a Cash Express on U.S. 25W, south of London, on June 16.

On Sunday night, they say Wagers robbed a Taco Bell on U.S. 25W, south of London. In that robbery, investigators say four employees were locked inside a freezer.

In both robberies, police say Wagers showed a gun.

Wagers has been charged with two counts of robbery.
