Items found in pawn shop lead to arrest in burglary case

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Investigators say some things found in a pawn shop helped them make an arrest in a burglary case.

The Whitley County Sheriff's Office has charged 27-year-old Mark Wyatt, of Williamsburg, with receiving stolen property, under $500.

Investigators say some things stolen from a woman's home during a burglary were later sold to a pawn shop.

Deputies say they were then able to identify Wyatt as the person who pawned the stolen items.

They say they arrested Wyatt without incident, and took him to the Whitley County Detention Center.
