FLEMING COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - An investigation is underway after Kentucky State Police say a man was shot and killed by state troopers.
The shooting happened Thursday afternoon at a home on Beechburg Road in Fleming County. State police say they were called to the home to assist the Fleming County Sheriff's Office in a report of domestic violence.
Police say the suspect's threatening actions later resulted in them shooting him.
Investigators were still on scene late Thursday night.
"They're just trying to identify all of the circumstances that may have taken place and led up to this, if there was any other witnesses that may have observed anything or if there was any other issues have taken place that we're not aware of," explained Trooper Endre Samu with Kentucky State Police.
The suspect's name has not been released. Police say his wife was home during the incident, but was not hurt.
