MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) - An eastern Kentucky woman has won $1 million on a scratch-off Kentucky Lottery game.
Teresa Blevins bought the ticket at a convenience store in Morehead this week.
The winning ticket was a $20 Lucky Millionaire scratch-off. She says she scratched off the top part and gave it to the clerk to scan at the store on Monday. The scanner said the machine could not handle cashing the ticket. The owner of the store scanned the ticket again and that's when Blevins, 50, learned she had won $1 million.
She decided to take the cash option, leaving her with nearly $470,000 after taxes.
