In light of the tremors felt across the state on Friday morning, officials with the state Transportation Cabinet are checking the soundness of bridges and roads around Kentucky.
Bridge inspections were out on Friday, looking at bridges in the Paducah, Henderson and Louisville highway districts.
"Our inspections are being conducted strictly out of an abundance of caution," said Nancy Albright, director for the cabinet's Division of Maintenance. "There is really no fear that any damage has been done to our structures. However, we do want to be absolutely certain of the continued integrity of our bridges."
Drivers may experience lane restrictions and delays as crews check bridges and roadways.
Ted Evans with the US Army Corps says they also did a walk through at both Wolf Creek and the Lake Barkley dams and found no damage from the quake.
