Peanut Prank Leaves Student Facing Felony Charge

Letters went home on Friday to parents of students at Lexington's Morton Middle School.

This comes after an incident where school officials say a student placed peanut butter crumbs in the lunch box of a student who is severely allergic to peanuts.

The child did not ingest the crumbs and did not become sick, but school officials say the results could have been deadly if the child had eaten the crumbs.

The student who is accused of the prank has been charged with felony wanton endangerment.
