Severe storms continue to work across southeastern Ky. Additional strong storms are working into the Lexington metro.
CARROLL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police made multiple arrests on Thursday morning and all are charged with drug trafficking.
Arrest warrants were served to thirteen people who were indicted on charges for trafficking heroin, methamphetamine and prescription narcotics. The drug roundup took place in Carroll, Trimble and Gallatin Counties.
In Gallatin County, police arrested four people in the drug bust. One of those arrested is 35 year old, Jill Beers, from Warsaw, for trafficking. When police got to her home, they say they found several marijuana plants growing in pots right outside her house.
When police searched Beers home they found $5,000 in cash, methamphetamine, heroin, firearms, marijuana plants and seedlings.
Three other people were arrested at Beers home. 37 year old Jennifer Webster, of Sparta, 44 year old Jeffrey Eggleston, of Covington and 37 year old Richard Marksberry of Warsaw. All four are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine, heroin and cultivation of marijuana. Marksberry is also charged with resisting arrest and terroristic threatening.
All but one of those arrested are lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center. One is lodged in the Kenton County Detention Center.
