Police make first known arrests for heroin trafficking in Laurel County

LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say they've made the first known arrests for trafficking in heroin in Laurel County.

After an investigation that lasted months, London Police say they arrested seven people at a home on Old Way Road.

During a search of the home, police say they found a large amount of heroin, along with cocaine, marijuana, and prescription drugs.

Police say they also found thousands of dollars in cash.

London Police say at the home, they arrested James W. Edwards, of London, Ashley B. Edwards, of London, Daniel Treed Taylor, of Cincinnati, Daniel Kemp, of Hamilton, Ohio, Derrick Boggs, of London, Damian Barrett, of London, and Heather Miller, of London.

All seven suspects face drug related charges.

Police say the value of the heroin they confiscated is around $4,500. The value of the cocaine confiscated is around $4,100.
