Posted: Mon 11:52 PM, Nov 26, 2012

PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - She's in the fight of her life, but a fourth grader is focused on helping others this holiday season.

Nine-year-old Destiny Bevins, of Pike County, is battling a brain tumor.

She says her Christmas wish is to donate at least 30 blankets to the Pikeville Homeless Shelter.

Destiny says she just wants to help others who are having a hard time.

"It's nice to give presents," Destiny said. "If we give presents, think about how happy they'll be."

If you would like to send a blanket or quilt to help fulfill Destiny's Christmas wish, you can send them to 6451 Zebulon Highway, Lot 6, Pikeville, KY, 41501.
